ROBERT VANO GALLERY
In 2010 I was a co-founder of the Robert Vano Gallery, through this organization I want to make the work and person of the world renowned Slovak-born photographer, Robert Vano, known. Through RVG we’ve organized workshops, professional training seminars, exhibitions and events related to photography, signings, discussions and other cultural and social events for professional as well as general public with professional photographers participating. We managed to raise the profile of the Robert Vano brand also thanks to cooperation with TV Markíza, TV JOJ and print media.
Robert Vano has become an icon of photography whose editorial photographs were to be admired on the covers of prestigious fashion magazines and who belongs among the internationally renowned photographers for more than a quarter of a century. He cooperated with the world famous female models in New York, Paris and Milano, and magazines like Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, Elle or Cosmopolitan prided themselves on his photographs. He’s passionate about timeless ”platinum” photographs. In 2018 a Slovak / Czech premiere of the autobiographical documentary film ROBERT VANO – The Story of a Man directed by Adolf Zika took place, in which also the Robert Vano Gallery participated in terms of production.
